I had so many people ask me for the pattern, that I decided to write down the pattern here so I could share it with everyone!

This pattern was based off of another free pattern that I found online, but it was in Russian so I did my best to figure it out by looking at the pictures provided. I altered it slightly to add the leaves, and I love the way it looks to sew the pearl in the middle.
Afton Rose

Finished size is approximately 3" inches, not including the leaves.

Supplies needed:

Size B Crochet Hook
Approximately 1 ounce of Mercerized Crochet Cotton Sport Weight in Pink
Small amount of Green
Pearl
Needle and Thread

I used ICE Brand Camilla Cotton. I am a reseller for ICE and offer it in my Etsy shop. The price is worth it to me because it has such a nice shine and holds its shape perfectly! However, I'm sure there are other sport weight yarns that would work nicely. Click here to be taken to my Etsy shop where you can purchase the yarn that I used.

Row 1:
Ch 69
Dc in 5th ch from hook. *Skip next ch, (Dc, ch 1, Dc) in next ch*, Repeat from * to * across. Ch 3, turn.

Row 2:
(2 Dc, ch 3, 2 Dc) in each ch sp on previous row. Ch 3, turn.

Row 3:
9 Dc in each ch sp on previous row. Ch 3, sl st in last st. Finish off.

Leaves:

Wind the pink ruffle you just made so that it looks like a rose. Decide where you want your leaves. You will then join green with a sl st in the top of Row 1 of the rose between the petals. Make sure that your leaves will be behind the petals.

Ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next ch, hdc in each of next 2 chs, Dc in each of next 3 chs, hdc in each of next 2 chs, 2 sc in next ch. Rotate work so that you will begin working on the opposite side of the chs you just stitched in. 2 scs in same st as previous 2 scs, hdc in each of next 2 sts, Dc in each of next 3 sts, hdc in each of next 2 sts, sc in each of next 2 sts. Join with a sl st in first sc. Sl st through center of the leaf, all the way down to the base and in least 3 unworked chs. Finish off. Repeat for second leaf.

Sew your rose together with a needle and thread, making sure to work through all the layers. When it is secure, sew the pearl into the center. Tie off.

There you go, I hope you all enjoy it!

In honor of my Grandma Afton, who will be laid to rest tomorrow.
